The OPTASE® COOLING MASK uses cold therapy to relieve the inflammation and puffiness that can accompany dry eye disease, allergies, and hay fever. Where heat masks help unblock meibomian glands, cold compresses work differently: they reduce swelling, calm irritated blood vessels, and ease the discomfort of red, itchy, and watery eyes. Its Hydrocool Technology is designed to provide a controlled, consistent level of cooling across the closed eye area, making it more effective than improvised cold compresses, which can be difficult to apply safely around the eyes.
The mask is reusable. Place it in the refrigerator and apply whenever symptoms flare.
It is particularly useful during allergy season or for people who experience morning puffiness and redness alongside their dry eye symptoms. Use it as a standalone treatment or alongside eye drops and other dry eye therapies.
